Tianguis of the Maize is a prototype urban agricultural architecture for tomorrow that tackles maize (corn)'s current role within genetic modification and considers the crops power in shaping the economy, social and environmental patterns of the world. Here, the reinvented market is posed to function as a medium between past. present and future while the proposed design aids in a greater understanding of the crop's life cycle and shifts perceptions to consider this holistic approach toward urban agricultural-architecture.
