The diary of Fukushima’s Return: First Draft

The diary of Fukushima’s Return (on going process)

In 2011, the nuclear disaster that shocked the whole world after 1986 Chernobyl disaster was The Fukushima Daichii Nuclear disaster. On March 11, 2011, Tsunami caused by Tohoku earthquake hits the Fukushima Daichii nuclear power plant, resulting in the catastrophic failure of the nuclear operation system. On March 12, 2011, the nuclear radioactive substance began to leaks from the three out of six nuclear reactors. The amount of radioactive measured by INES was at Level 7, which is about 30% of Chernobyl disaster.
TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Power Company)

The incident forced 300,000 people to leave their home immediately and 8 towns around the Fukushima power plant have become ghost towns.

Three years later, the power plant still facing the problem of the radioactive leaks, leaving the area unlivable for at least 50 years.

Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants in the world and their benefit is versatile. It can satisfy 4 factors of living that are food, habitat, clothes and medicine. Bamboo is very strong yet have high elasticity property, it can be used for building structures and also can be used for textile and paper. As technology advance, the research and study shows that bamboo fiber can be used as a composite material that can be used for vehicle and even for building material.

The Bamboo-Active

Therefore, the project aims to develop the Fukushima ghost town into the center of advance bamboo composite material factory and research center for radioactive substance and bamboo material. Consisting of 4 facilities; the research center, robots housing, bamboo factory and material-making factory, located at the entrance of the Fukushima power plant. The material will help recover the leaks of the nuclear power plant.

The bamboo fiber composite material will be the material used for construction of the nuclear power plant around the world, with its strength and ability to withstand the earthquake.

Since it cannot be live by human, the majority of the inhabitants are robots that dividing in to Industrial robots and Humanoid. Industrial robots will include the transport robots, forestation and harvesting robots, and factory robots. Humanoid will be the middle communicator between human and robots, they will also be the one who is controlling the robots in site and take care of the production.

Divided into 4 phases by starting at the outer area of restriction zone and will narrow down as the project keeps going. The first phase is about settling down, bamboo planting and decontaminating the area. The construction of 4 facilities will be done in this phase.

People who enter the restricted zone will have to go through the Gateway to change into the radioactive protection suite. Surrounded by the bamboo grove, they will lead to the research center, robots housing and etc. People can visit the research center for educational trip or joining the research team. The robots housing connected to the research center will consist of preparation area, meeting room, press conference room and the tearoom. The tearoom is where people meet the humanoid with the view of the bamboo grove and the factories, they can see the robots working in far away.

The Operation Starts in the middle of year 2014, June 15, because it was the rainy seasons, the best seasons to plant bamboo. We sent the Plantation robots in the 20 km. restriction area consisting of xx of Excavator robots, xx of Planting robots and xx of maintenance robots. The duty of these robots was to grow the Bamboos in the designated area. The excavator started to dig up the soil in grid-like pattern as it was programmed and left the soil next to the pits. Followed by the planting robot, its duty was too plant the baby bamboo and cover up the soil around the bamboo. After that the maintenance robots took care of the pruning, watering and fertilizing for about 5 years. The total of planting bamboo in first phase was xxx square meter.

On June 14, 2017, the robots shifted the plantation process into 15 km. restriction area, same operation was done as the 20 km. restriction area plantation.

The harvest season started on July 30, 2019, the end of rainy season and the start of dry season. This time we sent xx of cutting robots, xx of pick up robots and xx of transportation robots. The cutting robots scanned each bamboo in order to determined the proper size and the right property of contained fiber that needed for construction and bamboo fiber material. The pick up robots then collected the fresh cut bamboo stem and put all together in one big pile for the transportation robots to pick up all the bamboo stem and transport to the where the facilities located. The harvesting was done by August 26, 2019.

At the same time, we also sent the construction robots to the site, which located around the power plant entrance. They have started the construction of 4 facilities after they got the bamboo stems from the transportation robots. All of the facilities were completed on October 29, 2019.

The decontamination process then took place after the completion of first phase harvesting, which is August 27, 2019. Consisting of xx of excavator robots, xx of – robots and xx of transportation robots.

On November 1, 2019 was the first date of facilities operation. The research center consisting of lobby, 2 laboratories, 1 library, 1 meeting room, 1 storage and toilets, involved 8 practitioners that are 6 researcher and 2 technicians. Other than that was operates by humanoids and robots. In the research center we have the total of 5 humanoid; 1 receptionist, 1 maid and 2 laboratory’s assistants. Next to the research center is teahouse, perhaps the most critical facility out of all. The corridor connected the research center to another meeting room, this meeting room were made especially for visitor. On the left side is Press conference room which was first used the same date as its opening. Next from meeting room is the teahouse room, it is the place where visitor communicates with the humanoids.

After the tea ceremony was done, the room that was surrounded by close partition can be sliding open, and then you can see factory and the robots that were working……

We started to complete the production of the first lot of bamboo fiber on November 9, 2019 and first lot of material on November 15, 2019.
On December 25, 2019, we manage to successfully recover the leaks of 4 reactors in Fukushima daichii nuclear power plant.

Statement (Sketch)

The project is composed of the area that holds to-be historical signing ceremony between Israel and Palestine Liberty Organization and the complex of sacred discussion rooms for three significant top level political debates. The whole complex is on Temple Mount in respectively holy patch of land, the Old City of Jerusalem. The event will be hosted by United Nation with strict guest list that consist of the leader of United State of America, Israel, Palestine, Jordan and Egypt.

It is very important that the setting where the talks and signing ceremony are held in. In Egyptian time, 2100 BC, Ramses-Hattusili treaty was signed on the rock in the temple of Amun in Karnak that survives until today for us to witness. Treaty signing events today can be accessed by public through television channels and the internet. the whole events are impressed by filming and photographing. Although, the details of the treaty can be accessed on the internet or the authorities, the photographs and the video records in the news are rather the solid proof that the treaty happened. Therefore, the setting of this kind of ceremony must be carefully manifested for filming.

Before any event in the White House that was to be filmed, the gestures of the president, the seating and the walk path were carefully choreographed for the film productions to be placed accordingly. A sudden example relating to Middle East conflict was in September 2, 2010 in East room. Red carpet was laid leading to the podium. The single file line was assigned to top politicians. Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Barack Obama, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and King Abdulla I of Jordan in that order. There was even a signal for them to stop and continue walking. It is intriguing to acknowledge the back of the house process.

In history, political agreements and events mostly happen in natural and open space. For example, Logberg or Law Rock, the earliest recorded parliament in 930 AD. The discussion and agreement happened in an open area that was easily accessed by villages. On the border of Austria and France, handing over Maria Antoinette was held in the wood. Green spaces of Camp David in Washington D.C. were backdrops of photographs recoding countless handshakes between the President of its time and his alliances. Rose Garden, for instance, holds many political events including also treaty signing between Israel and Palestine in September 13, 1993. Natural setting is the only space that will provide the most neutral backdrop for all parties.

Apple tree is the most cultivated fruit trees in the world. It had spread out widely as early as 210 BC by the Han dynasty through the Silk Road trade within that era. Due to the fact that wild apples are not edible, countries around the world have developed grafting and caring techniques alike in order to transform the apples into what we eat today. Aside from this method, new technology of the modern world has created long lasting fresh apples. Using Golden Delicious Varieties, collaboration between researchers in Italy and horticultural genomicists at Washington State University successfully decoded the complete genome of apple which contains that highest number of any plant genome studied to date. This break-out contributes to resistance to disease and drought and other desirable characteristics of the variants. The collaborations to better this fruit make apple tree a global plant and therefore, are selected to be the new additional plants on the complex.

Manifesto Draft 01

Kapok, Home Tree

At the present time, people are familiar with the usage of plants within buildings and spaces where they live. However, we rarely find any architecture that is integrated profoundly into life-forms, neither of the structural nor systematical aspect. Despite the way people use plants as a mere apparatus for some small environmental benefits and social prestige, they do know that the simplest 'natural living space' are commonly formed by plants as the primary resource. Suppose anyone see the importance of the relationship between 'producers - consumers - decomposers', communities of people could establish new natural habitats, likewise a new ecosystems.

This project is a realization of spatial quality, self-sustainability, and prosperity found in natural forest, especially in tropical rain forests. This type of forest contain the most diversity of wildlife species, and one essence of the ecosystem is Kapok trees which are the main character that embraces the largest rain forest, Amazon. khj -- fsdg-- f--gsf --f --fsg   sdg

Kapok trees were valued as the 'Home Tree' where lives dwell around its unique physicality and forms: the root buttress that creates cavity and barrier, the heights of the tree with its wide horizontal span of the branches, the grasp of root that support the ground deeply; Moreover human found great variety of appliance by Kapok fruit, flower, and fiber such as cushions, domestic feeds, insulators, oil, soap, honey wellspring, etc. The Kapok products once brought wealth to the trading routes around Asia and further, but it became a forgotten saga since newer technologies helped men to mass produce alternative products in shorter time. The technology such as synthetic polyester basically wiped out most of the traditional business held by Kapok and changed the economic formation forever.

At North-East of Thailand, Nakhon Ratchasima is the largest province of Thailand with gross area of 20,494 square kilometers yet it is one of the driest place in this country due to the existing soil types and the south sea-wind blockage by a mountain range. There was a big reforestation program by the government's F.I.O (Forest Industry Organization) in the middle of the province, right at Khok-Kruat region. In spite of the program that was initiated 30 years ago, the land withers and the recovery is failed because the forest is lacked of two prime elements: pioneer trees and water connection.

Nevertheless, learning from all aspect of this pioneer plant, it is a very high potential that Kapok tree can be the very basis for a new unified space with artificial-to-natural condition and local economy. It is the ideal place that creates new jobs for people and activities for communities, and provide habitats for all kind of life.

The whole system begins by adopting and developing reforestation techniques, which carry the combination of various plants starting with the rediscovered facts and functional applications of the Kapok trees as the basis, then let a growing system of nature takes over the physicality of the residents and operative space. It is an integral mechanism that progress over times, containing a specific cycle where people have to move from successful recovered places to new deteriorated lands but left some part occupied under the power of nature. This will bring back the natural quality to human dimension slowly as it supposed to be...

Olive energy-generating village : First draft

Olive tree played a significant role in both cultural and economical aspects in today world, where most of its background was from the Mediterranean region as it has the right climate for olive tree to survive on. Many Mediterranean countries used olive products to be their major income, on the others hands, many others countries need to import large amount of the olive products because their land are not suitable for the olive plantation. Even so, according to the research, if the empty lands in the planet have not been used for agriculture by the end of this century, the whole mankind will be extinct because of no food.

One of the latter country with huge amount of empty land and need for olive products is Egypt. Even though the country is located in the Mediterranean region, but the weather still too harsh for the olive tree to grow in large quantity as the country has 75% of land invaded into the hottest Sahara Desert. The only area that used for plantation and habitation in this country is located along the Nile River and Mediterranean Sea. Moreover the situation of this country nowadays is not supporting the olive oil business since the ruling period of the President Hosni Mubarak as he announced to use the emergency rule and many corruptions occurred. Resulting many limitation and chaos for the Egyptian citizen such as high rate of unemployment, fuel and electricity shortage, Muslim protest and rising cost of food. Contrast to the present day, this country was acknowledged as one of the prosperous country in ancient time. Olive tree and its products were considered as the true luxury products, because it only used to serve the high rank people such as Pharaoh and afterlife. The value of the olive is important in both physical and symbolic aspects opposite to nowadays that both the physical and symbolic meaning were lost.

To re-civilize this country, the physical and symbolic meaning of olive should be brought back with the idea of creating a prototype olive village in the area of Sahara desert where everything in the village are revolving around the olive plant as the center of village. But to make a strong core, additional function should be integrate to the project and it is a solar power plant, as it can answer to a big currently problem of Egypt which is energy shortage. Additionally, Olea Europaea, one of the olive species that has unique quality, as each part of the tree can be used to make various olive products, but 90% of these olive trees were used for olive oil production. This complicated olive oil production not only produce the various type of olive oils, but also the electricity where a waste olive oil or promace can be turn into biomass which is one of the material that used in electricity production process and this process can be link to the solar power plant’s electricity production as they shared similar steps. However, the electric generator cannot run without a fuel which came from the bio-diesel that has been distill from olive oil itself mixing with methanol and catalyst.

In conclusion, the energy generating cycle shows that olive tree plays the major role to run the whole cycle of this village and also the olive grove arrangement hopes to help slow down desertification, so this prototype village will be construct from the suburban area of Egypt outward to Sahara desert for more convenience in transportation. Above all, the village is still a village, a place for habitation, that serve as a temporary residential area for the workers and their families to live their life having olive as their life routine with non-alienate feeling to what the people used to by using the benefit of the desert dune structure. Lastly, this village hopes to express the importance of olive from the way people interact with the plant to the way the plant helps solving the national issue.

Reconvert the prosperity of wine

Reconvert the prosperity of wine
Vitis vinefera Winery Shiraz, Iran

The Shiraz winery is a territory that aims to reconvert the prosperity of wine production in Iran as a root of Shiraz wine and the birthplace of grapevine, showing the latest technical achievements in the field of cultivation and production of wine and grape growing.

Shiraz was one of the earliest places where wine was produced, more than 6,000 years ago as a central place of wine in an ancient Persian culture. The evidence for the existence of wine has been found at the site the Zagros Mountains, Iran. In the southern Iran was the original source of the grape used to create the world-famous Shiraz wine, but today produced in vineyards in California, France and South Africa.

“As the classical Iranians saw it, drinking wine in moderation made one more attentive and mentally keen.” The Spirit of Wisdom from the sixth century CE, Zoroastrian texts.

Bringing back the wine origin, the day before Iran revolution, before the law and before the...
“There can be no perfection without harmony, and perfect harmony between species and soil absolutely indispensable to the production of fine wine” Wine and wine trade Andre L. Linon. Due to the Shiraz climate and atmosphere perfectly fit for wine production and consumption.

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), approximately 71% of world grape production is used for wine. Vitis vinefera, accounts for the majority of world wine production.

The winery was to represent Iran County to become an important wine district in locally and globally, by the policy of constructive engagement with outside world, while offer a wide range of complementary facilities and grape and wine related lifestyles. A vibrant wine district expressed by a network of cultural and productive aspects that the territory could offer wine making process at different levels and quality.

Blending the wine scenery together with Islamic tradition, overwhelm with the quality of craftsmanship and detail of an ornaments. A series of “natural corridors” define the connection between facilities within the courtyard (Iwan) including the areas of reception, gallery display, restaurant, and research center. Surrounded facilities oriented to the fountain and pools in the middle as a symbol of Islamic tradition.

Navigate through the space directly to the tasting room where visitor would experience a glass of wine with the best quality by sensory examination and individual evaluation in each sip of wine drop. Throughout the look out point as an outdoors space, grapevine fields will define a large vineyard carpet that dedicated to grow local grapes.

Grapevine and winery is to create points of interest for the visitors and development for the local community. Extended the accessibility for Muslim and tourist to get closer to the wine production, while promotes a deeper understanding of the territory, local products and production processes.
